To all English Shepherd Club members,

We are writing to notify you that Fred Fanning has resigned effective January 13, 2023 for personal reasons.  We are very appreciative that Fred had taken on the President role, and wish him the best for the future.

The ESC by-laws Section 3 regarding Vacancies states “Any vacancy occurring on the Board of Directors during a term of office shall be filled until the next election by a majority vote of all the then members of the Board.”

The ESC Board convened a meeting last week and voted to name Dianne Kuhl as the new President, which she has accepted. Dianne lives in South Carolina with her husband (Dana), and her four year old English Shepherd, Megan.  Meg is her fifth ES, and Dianne feels fortunate to be one of those people who grew up with the breed. She says she “can’t imagine not having one of these amazing dogs in my life!”

Dianne has served the English Shepherd Club and breed in several capacities in the past, including as Club President, Editor, on the Registry and Calendar committees, and as Secretary of the National English Shepherd Rescue.

We are confident that Dianne can help us in moving forward with a smooth transition. As she says “I’m looking forward to working with all of you, and am feeling positive about the possibilities for this coming year!.

Welcome Back Dianne!!
